Ellen McGinty Bio

Ellen was born in Texas—and rode an alligator in her front yard. She now lives in Japan, with almost no yard, and rides a bicycle instead. She graduated university in Spain with a degree in Intercultural Studies and Spanish.
She is a long-time member of the Society of Children Books Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), worked as a journalist for Calvary Chapel magazine and published several articles, including cover stories on Nepal and world travel. Her current novel was selected for PitchSlam 2016 and Pitch2Publication16. Ellen is also a volunteer editor for TEENSPublish, a program to teach and inspire teen authors.
